Design, Planning And Structural Interventions On New Technologies For Renewable Energy Alternatives To Fossil Fuels

Energy has become a very hot topic for Americans in the last two years, the reasons for our energy problems ranging from environmental to financial policy. Despite different reasons, it is clear that the solution to our energy problems is the transition from traditional energy sources to renewable energy sources, reducing emissions of greenhouse gases, ending our dependence on foreign oil, and eliminate our transfer record world wealth to oil-producing nations.

Some scientists say global warming we are experiencing is not artificial. There are also critics who argue that renewable energy sources have serious drawbacks, such as the need to use natural resources to make a windmill, or the use of large amounts of land to accommodate large amounts of solar panels. There are also those who believe that we are not in danger of running out of our traditional energy sources like oil because even if the cost of oil has increased, it is not severe enough to indicate that there is a problem.

The need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions has been heard for years. There are opponents of global warming claim that “global warming we are experiencing is just the result of natural cycles” (‘Global Warming is a myth?’ 1), which include the periodic rise and fall in global temperatures that are occurred over the centuries and millennia.

However, a group of leading climate scientists from 40 countries, says it is ‘very likely’ that humans are causing a global temperature change that will reach between 3.2 and 7.2 degrees Fahrenheit by the end of this century, with only a probability of ten percent error that global warming is not happening, it is prudent to me that we act.
Fortunately, there is a solution. The cost of renewable energy is decreasing. According to a specialist in solar energy, “a big thumbs for an industry that is making tremendous progress in reducing costs and improving efficiency.”

In addition, “… the experts advise and the United Nations has said …. What renewables could provide nearly 80 percent of the world’s total energy needs by mid-century.”

Although renewable energy technology is rapidly advancing, renewable energy sources are not possible without environmental drawbacks, such as large amount of land required to position the solar panels, or the effect of placing a dam on a river of the surrounding area .

However, according to the policies of President Obama, environmental groups including the Natural Resources Defense Council, National Wildlife Federation, Wilderness Society and the Sierra Club all will soon agree with the final plan.

This is a strong indicator that the plans for the construction and placement of the renewable energy technology have been created with sensitivity to the potential negative environmental problems.

Alternative energy sources make it possible to produce electrical or mechanical energy without using fossil fuels, which are, instead, the traditional sources of energy; family of alternative resources are part of all renewable and non-renewable energy that can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels, and these include sources of energy:

  • solar
  • thermal
  • wind
  • marine
  • hydraulics
  • geothermal
  • from biomass
  • nuclear

As anticipated, alternative energy sources are also renewable and their main advantage is concerned, no doubt, inexhaustible; Unlike fossil fuels, in fact, these are regenerated continuously, allowing to combat problems related to the limits of the resources, as in the case of oil. In addition, the environmental impact is almost zero, so as to solve the problems of pollution, an increasingly central theme, which goes hand in hand with the development of a “green industry” (that is, in fact, a system of production based on environmentally friendly technologies).

The label “alternative energy sources” became commonly used in the seventies, following the oil crises of 1973 and 1979 showed clearly the problems posed by a world too dependent on oil and energy in general on the supply of fossil fuels. Over the past thirty years, therefore, have been invested a lot of human and financial resources in research dedicated to these energy sources.

Alternative energy sources have got a real boom in recent years, thanks precisely to these funds invested in research; it is estimated that, at present, covering about 20% of the world's energy needs, a figure, however, expected to increase. They are the sources to have the highest growth rate among the alternative energy resources, and it is estimated that, by themselves, in 2030, will account for about 1/5 of global demand. Alternative energy sources, in particular renewables, have long been at the center of the politics of the European Union: the subject of "Climate Energy Package", prepared by the Directive 2009/29. The plan contains measures to combat climate change. In particular, the EU plans to achieve the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions by 20%, the 20% increase in the share of energy from renewable sources and to achieve a 20% saving through energy efficiency.

In the Foundation are, as in any other sector, technicians and specialists to design interventions and strutturalisulle new technologies for renewable energy alternatives to fossil fuels, so and so as to ensure any project the right expertise and the right penalty.
